David R​unyon
PA-C
​
David Runyon was born in Beckley, WV. He earned his "Eagle Scout" award at the age of fifteen. After graduating high school, he became a United States Marine. In 1990, he trained and became a professional Whitewater and Mountain Guide, which he has continued to pursue and be passionate about for 30 years.
​
In 1992, David graduated from Bluefield State College as a Nationally Certified Paramedic. After working in the field and in a trauma center, he continued his education and graduated from the College of West Virginia's Physician Assistant program in 2000.
For 10 years, he worked in General/Trauma Surgery perfecting his surgical skills. In 2009, he became interested in Dermatology and Dermatologic surgical techniques and has since specialized in skin cancer and minor surgery. David also spends his time training CrossFit, trail running, biking, and adventure racing.

Recently, David has returned from a 3-year stent practicing his surgical profession in Florida. He greatly looks forward to serving his friends and family in his home city.

Sherry Duvall
RN, MSN, FNP-BC
Sherry Duvall is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and originally attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She worked in the surgery department at the Medical College of Virginia / VCU School of Medicine as a researcher in organ transplantation and later under a cancer research grant.

After moving to West Virginia, she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Mountain State University and later her Master of Science in Nursing at West Virginia University.
​
Sherry has been a Registered Nurse for 25 years and a Nurse Practitioner for over 19 years. Growing up in Virginia, she loved sailing and being close to the beach. She calls West Virginia her home now and enjoys the beautiful mountains by biking, hiking, and rafting small rapids. She especially loves working in a clinical setting that is warm and family oriented!

Rachel Ward
RN, MSN, FNP-BC
Rachel is a high school graduate of Liberty High School. Her first nursing certification was presented in 2012 as a LPN from New River CTC. She then pursued her associate degree of nursing in 2015 and baccalaureate degree of nursing in 2018 from Bluefield State College. She received her graduate degree from Marshall University in 2021.
She has worked as a RN in a variety of roles while pursuing her bachelors and masters degree including an intensive care unit, outpatient vascular lab, endoscopy, and PACU. Being a nurse practitioner in Dermatology has been her passion. She performs comprehensive examinations of the skin, biopsies, and counseling on skin cancer prevention.
Rachel is married with three children. She has two girls, ages 9 and 6, along with a 7-month-old son. She enjoys working in the friendly, family-oriented environment at Southern Wellness & Skin Center.

Joseph Morrello, DO
Internal Medicine
Medical Director
Joseph Morrello completed his Associates Degree in Medical Lab Technology and then Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science at Bluefield State College.
Getting his first taste within the medical field, he soon decided to attend to West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated in 2009.
He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery/Salem VA Medical Center in 2012. He works as a board certified Internist at Bluestone Health and SWSC.

Nichole Stone Smith
Skin Care Specialist
Nichole has been practicing in cosmetics for 20 years in Southern West Virginia. Believing that skin care is a necessity, and not just a luxury, she strives to find the best options and alternatives for each and every patient seen.
Based on patient consultations, treatment plans can be set up to include one or more of the various services performed in our office along with individualized product education, and long-term satisfaction.

Nichole is well trained in skin assessment, facials, extractions, hydrofacials, chemical peels, waxing, brow enhancement, and facials.

Rebeca Hall, LMT
Massage Therapy
Rebecca treats clients by using touch to manipulate the muscles and other soft tissues of the body. With their touch, cupping, hot stones LMTs relieve pain, help heal injuries, improve circulation, relieve stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients in the relaxing of mind and body.
